of Virginia’s award winning principal good touch – bad touch
safety program, seen by over 1,170,000 Virginia school children since
1983. The musical play sensitively and inoffensively relates the story
of a little girl who is sexually abused and who learns valuable lessons
that enable her to seek and obtain help from a trusted adult. The program
is proven to increase children’s knowledge of sexual abuse prevention
resources and techniques, encourage teacher training in the issue and
helps build healthy families and strong communities.
Script and study guide available on our web site. Minimum audience of
approximately 300 students required. The fee for this performance is
only $100.00 due to partial funding by the Virginia Department of Social
Services. A small travel fee may apply.

The
Ugly Duckling (K – 5)
Inspired
by Hans Christian Anderson’s Fable
In
this all singing, all dancing, all delightful new musical, Theatre IV
combines “The Ugly Duckling” fable with tales of other lands
by introducing our familiar feathered friend to a Burmese mole that
hates dirt and an Inuit bald eagle with a full head of hair! These three
“misfit” heroes work together to earn their home on the
King’s estate and find the self-confidence that only friendship
and accomplishment can provide.
